Songstress Sheebah Karungi has been nominated for the young achievers award in the Creative Arts Music category in the Young Achievers Awards 2017.
The Enjala hit maker seems to be winding up[ the year 2017 in style having been invited to represent Uganda in the Africa’s all stars music showcasing platform coke studios and the ongoing worldwide music tours she has been doing since last July.
The young achievers awards is a national competition held annually recognizing outstanding youth personalities as it promotes the best practice and excellence in youth creativity through working together to address national developmental challenges in ICT, the Arts, Health, Education, Gender and access to better lives.
Nominees for the 2017 young achievers awards were on Tuesday evening unveiled at a glamorous occasion held at Hotel Kampala. Sheebah Karungi will tussle it out with fellow musicians Eddy Musuuza Kenzo aka Eddy Kenzo, Milege Afro jazz Band, George William Kigozi aka Geosteady and The Triplets Ghetto Kids.
The young Achievers Awards were founded in 2009 by two great entrepreneurs Ivan Kyambadde and Awel Uwihanganye aiming at boasting entrepreneurship and recognizing innovation and excellence.
