The Uganda National Football team, Uganda Cranes has today made the our country, The Pearl of Africa proud for the 1st time in 38 years after qualifying to the African Cup of Nations; which will be in Gabon next year.
The Uganda Cranes defeated Comoros with 1 goal to nil which was scored in the first half by the Standard Liege player Farouk Miya, and was enough to make Uganda being one of the teams to be taken as the best runners up in the groups.
Burkina Faso ended as group winners with 13 points after getting a late win defeating Botswana with 2-1 goals. Uganda was the second with 13 points with Burkina Faso leading the cranes on the Head-to-Head advantage.
The African Cup of Nations where Uganda is going to represent will be next year 2017 in Gabon. Where the Cranes if followed by luck and had work will end up becoming the Continental Champions (God Willing).
