SEED Joins ASFA’s On The Fashion Take Over Campaign

No one knew what SEED Show was to become in the fashion industry of Uganda ever since it began Four years ago as it all began with the partnership of Ras Kasozi’s KAS WEAR and U.S. Embassy Kampala to support Uganda’s fashion industry through young designers, Kampala Fashion Week joined us and now Abryanz Style & Fashion Awards is joining us on the journey to build the fashion industry.

ASFA‘s first launched the Fashion takeover campaign of this year in a seminar with the SEED Show designers at the ENS Auditorium at Rwenzori Towers.

The fashion takeover focal point is celebrating the business and entrepreneurial potential in Uganda and the rest of Africa. Ahumuza Brian proprietor of #ASFA‘s with his consultant Olyvia Nakitto Tibayeita shared with the designers the entrepreneurial skills to situate them to break into market and earn a living off their creations.

Ras Kasozi (mentor of the SEED show designers) also shared an experience with the designers;

“In Uganda, wherever you introduce yourself as one who earns off fashion, people are quick to ask if you have another stream of income other than that. But in actual sense, fashion leads many aspects of life. People are judged according to the way they dress. If anything, the way you dress defines you it determines the way people perceive you and your employment. It is an essential.
Why then can’t we make prosperous business out of it? The time is now”Fashion takeover”. I am very excited that the ASFA’s are giving SEED Show designers a platform to showcase the work of their hands. I commend Brian Ahumuza for devoting time to this cause.” he said.
