Photos: Barbie Kyagulanyi and Caring Hearts Uganda inspire primary pupils to keep in school

The ghetto first Lady Barbie Itungo Kyagulanyi together with non government organisations Caring Hearts Uganda and Uganda cares last Tuesday 10th October 2017 interacted with the girl child within Kampala city about the value of education.

In a bid to curb the challenge of girl child primary school drops out due to poor menstrual hygiene that sabotages basic education, Barbie and the NGOs held talks, debate, counselling and a brief training sessions to equip children with the necessary knowledge needed to overcome challenges faced as they grow up.

Centering on a panel close to 20 children who shared their knowledge the have about menstruation with their fellows, the representatives from the ministry of education, doctors, teachers and counselors took a lion’s share in lecturing the little ones about the importance of keeping in school to have education.

Ten thousand sanitary pads were given to the girl child who were in attendance to keep them in school during their challenging times of menstruation.

Its all about dedication and good heart hoping the first Lady will keep the flames burning to boast girl child education in the country.
