Forum for democratic change’s Dr Kizza Besigye has insisted that hearing of government’s petition challenging the defiance campaign should not proceed if Prisons authorities do not deliver him to court.
The Constitutional court is expected to start the hearing challenging the defiance campaign by the FDC and its former presidential candidate Kizza Besigye on June 23.
Besigye, the mastermind of the defiance, is the second respondent alongside FDC.
In a letter written to court last week, Besigye said he would like to be present so as to raise arguments against the application since he represents himself.
The hearing that should have started on Friday, was adjourned to June 23, because judges Steven Kavuma and Catherine Bamugemereire were absent.
