Isaiah Katumwa Evicted from House, Landlord Demands For 5.1 Million

Ugandan Jazz Maestro Isaiah Katumwa is currently looking for where to reside after his landlord in Kiira giving him an eviction notice from the house demanding that the star should get out of the house because he has failed to clear rent worth UGx 5.1 accumulated in 7 months.

Katumwa, one of the highly respected Ugandan and East Africa Jazz stars has been renting this full apartment but due to brokenness, he ran out of money and hasn’t been able to clear his debts for the past 7 months hence testing his landlord’s patience to evict him.

Reference is made to the tenancy agreement between you and our client for the premises you are currently residing at located at Kiira. You are well aware that at the moment, you are indebted to our client to the tune of Shs5.1m being rent for the months of May, June, July and August 2017,” a letter drafted by the landlord’s lawyers read.

Isiah is also further required to clear the demanded rent fees after getting out of the house since he has been given only 5 days to pack his bags and leave the rented apartment. Besides all that, he is also tasked to pay the money that the landlord has spent involving lawyers so he is now expected to at least pay money that is beyond UGx 6Million.

“The purpose of this letter, therefore, is to demand that you pay the outstanding rent arrears henceforth together with the legal fees to the tune of Shs 600,000 that our client has so far spent as a result of your actions.” The letter ended.
