Ingrid Turinawe Loses again, Florence Ibi defeats her on the FDC EALA Candidate seat

It did not all go well with the Iron Lady, the Forum for Democratic Change Secretary for Mobilization, Ingrid Turinawe in today’s elections after she was defeated by the less popular Florence Ibi on the East African Legislative Assembly candidacy.

Ingrid Kamateneti Turinawe launched her EALA Campaign at the end of January with support from top FDC figures like Doreen Nyanjura, FDC leaning DP Member Erias Lukwago and many others. Today was the voting day where the FDC Executive met to elect its candidates.

At the end of everything, Ingrid Turinawe was just two votes behind Florence Ibi and her hopes to represent Uganda in Arusha have been postponed if not stopped for good.

Ingrid has been failing in various political seats whenever she has been giving herself a chance to represent her people. In 2011 elections, Ingrid Turinawe vied for the Rukungiri Woman MP seat and lost to Sezi Priscilla Mbaguta while in 2016 elections, she came for Rukungiri Municipality Member of Parliament Seat and lost in FDC Primaries to Rolland Mugume Kaginda.
