We were imitating a lady who kissed Jesus’ feet; followers explain why they kissed Prophet Elvis Mbonye’s feet

Sometimes we need not to judge people before listening to them, just after a day of social media critics, criticizing Prophet Elvis Mbonye and his followers, some of his followers have come to explain why the kissed the feet of the prophet.

While speaking to us, one of the people who attended the I million dinner and was one of those who lied down and kissed the shoes of the prophet, he said that what they did can be compared with the woman who kissed the feet of Jesus and was forgiven her sins. He went ahead to say that kissing the feet of the servant of God was one of the ways to purify themselves and become holy since the pastor had just visited heaven.

He cited other customs that Jesus left for us including washing each others feet, sharing together and fellow shipping.

Prophet Elvis Mbonye who is popular with his prophesies that have always turned right told his followers that he visited heaven and came back and therefore his shoes are now holy with a divine blessing and the only way his flock could share on that blessing from heaven was to kiss his shoes.

In Luke 7:36-50, Jesus was anointed by unnamed sinful woman who, the church tradition keeps identifying as Mary Magadalene, poured oil on Jesus’ feet dried them with her hair and kissed them. In turn Jesus praised her for what she did and forgave her, her sins.
