Full list of dropped and appointed Uganda cabinet and state ministers 2016-2021

The President of Uganda his excellence Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has finally appointed the long waited  list of cabinet ministers that will work with him in his 5th term from the year 2016 to 2021. Most of the appointments were worth; some were new while others have been in cabinet for a while. Some were given ministries basing on their capabilities while others were given ministries basing on their loyalty.

The most of the ministers who were defeated in the parliamentary elections were dropped including honorable Chrispus Kiyonga who has been serving as Cabinet minister of defense, Minister Daudi Migereko of land and housing, minister Jessica Alupo of education. Minister Major General Kahinda Otafiire retained his Cabinet seat even though he was defeated in the concluded elections as the minister of justice and constitutional affairs.

The top executive was not changed; Hon Ruhakana Rugunda remained the prime minister while Hon Edward Ssekandi remained the vice president. Moses Ali remained 1st deputy prime minister and the leader of government business in parliament.

Mama Janet Museveni, the first lady who retired from the active politics after refusing to stand for the Member of Parliament Ruhaama constituency after his 2nd term in office has been brought back to life with the Ministry of Education and sports. Hon. Betty Namisango Kamya appointed the minister of kampala and will work together with Al Hajji Erias Lukwago Ssalongo and Jennifer Ssemakula Musisi.

The most loved Minister Father Simon Lukodo has kept with his seat as the minister of miniskirts, Ethics and Integrity, while Henry Tumukunde has been appointed as the minister of security. To see the list of those who were dropped in the Cabinet, check at the end of this list.
