Denis Onyango speaks out after winnng the Africa Player of the Year Award

The Ugandan goalie Denis Onyango has finally spoken out after the fruitful night in Abuja, Nigeria where he won the African Player of the Year Award (Based in Africa).

The Keeper who plays for the African Champions, the South African team Mamelodi Sundowns, all he had to say was to thank people who have been part of his story to success.

Onyango started by thanking his teammates at Mamelodi Sundowns club and the Uganda Cranes. He went ahead to send heartfelt thanks to the Uganda Cranes Coach Micho, whom he described as a father to him ever since they met on the National team.

“I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone one who made me better every day mostly my team mates #Mamelodi sundowns football club plus … the national team the #cranes all the players who made it this far with the team through hardship plus the coaching stuff #Micho u have always been a father to me since I started my professional career” Said Onyango

The Ugandan safe hands went ahead to thank the Mamelodi Sundwons coach Ivica Stancovic and his sponsors RG Gloves for the support they have given him. He thanked the Media in Uganda and South Africa for the supported rendered to him personally and to the whole team at large.

Onyango concluded with thanking his lovely wife and children who have been the other half of his life and called all Ugandans to turn their eyes on the AFCON that is coming in a few weeks.

“My family u have really blessed me and inspired me throughout my life and mostly my wife and kids I LOVE U #cranes tulumbe. FOR GOD AND MY COUNTRY” concluded Onyango.
