As today morning we woke up on the sad news of the death of socialite and Diamond Platnumz wife Zari’s mother, many have come come out to stand with her in this trying moment but for NTV the beat presenter Douglas Lwanga has shown how the late has not been just a mother but also an inspiration.
In his words, Douglas has said that even when Zari was still singing, her mother could ask for her songs to be played on television. “I remember my early days on TV i opened the lines on TV and i got a call from a woman unusually not a young caller.. on the other end she said.. “hello Douglas…ono mama wa Zari play for me any Zari song” he reckoned.
“As a fan She kept on doing this and later on when we exchanged numbers we became good friends. She used to make dinner somtimes and invite me and my friends and she followed me all through my journey.” Douglas said in pain.
He later dropped a word to console the family of the late “will always remember you mama. We will miss the days we shared at the shop at garden city together and many more memories. May God comfort your family and children. Its a hard time for them i know.
Rest in peace Mama Zari.” he concluded.
